Murray-Calloway County Hospital Wellness Works to Offer Free Screening in September

murray calloway hosp2MURRAY, Ky. (8/24/14) — Murray-Calloway County Hospital’s Wellness Works program will be offering free community health screenings in September.

  • From 8:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Weaks Senior Citizen Center, 607 Poplar Street, Murray – Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings.

  • From 8-11 a.m. and 12-3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 at the Center for Health and Wellness, 716 Poplar Street, Murray – Blood Pressure, BMI, Waist Circumference, Osteoporosis Heel Scan and Blood Sugar (finger stick) screenings (Call (270) 762-1348 to schedule an appointment).

  • From 7-10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 at the Spring Creek Station #3 Dining Room, 1401 South 16th Street, Murray – Blood Pressure, BMI, Waist Circumference, Osteoporosis Heel Scan and Blood Sugar (finger stick) screenings (Call (270) 762-1348 to schedule an appointment).

  • From 8:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at the Stewart County Senior Citizen Center, 111 General Rice Street, Dover, Tenn. – Lipids, Blood Sugar and PSA screenings. 12-hour fast required, drinking water is okay.

The screenings are free to the communities visited by Wellness Works and are provided to detect diseases in the earliest stages when there are often no symptoms.
