MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (8/25/14) — On Aug. 24, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint of a reckless driver, eastbound on US 68 East.
Shortly after, the vehicle, driven by Bridget Moryl, ran off the road. The vehicle came to a final rest after colliding with the Marshall County High School sign, in front of the High School, on US 68.
The vehicle was occupied by the driver and two additional juvenile passengers were in the back seat. All three occupants were transported to the Marshall County Hospital and Ms. Moryl was then transferred to Vanderbilt Hospital, in Nashville Tenn., by ambulance, due to the status of her injuries. One of the juveniles was treated and released with minor injuries and the other was admitted at the Marshall County ER.
Ms. Moryl was cited for three counts of Wanton Endangerment first degree and one count of DUI first (aggravated circumstances).
The Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Marshall County EMS and the Palma-Briensburg fire department.The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Michael Bennett.
