The single vehicle collision occurred on US 641 approximately 3 miles south of Murray.

Preliminary investigation shows Noah J. Rogers, 39 of Puryear, Tenn., operating a 2008 Ford Mustang traveling south on US 641. For an undetermined reason the vehicle drifted to the right side edge of the roadway, then the Rogers overcorrected and went off the left side of the roadway, striking several trees and overturning.

Rogers was pronounced dead on the scene by the Calloway County Coroner's Office. The juvenile passenger was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and was air lifted to another facility, where he later died as a result of his injuries. Speed was a contributing factor in the collision.

KSP Collision Reconstructionist Trooper Jody Cash was assisted on the scene by the Calloway County Sheriff's Department, Murray Fire Department, Murray Police Department, Calloway County Fire-Rescue Squad, Murray Calloway County Ambulance Service, Calloway County Coroner's Office, KSP Collision Reconstructionist Trooper Eric Fields and Trooper Brian Hill.
