KENTUCKY (8/27/14) — The following events are scheduled for Labor Day Weekend at Land Between the Lakes:
Homeplace Living History Farm - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sat. and Sun., Aug. 30-31.
The Homeplace Trades Fair*
This Labor Day weekend, we are celebrating the hard labor and hand work skills of our ancestors during The Homeplace Trades Fair. At a time when few things were manufactured, folks relied on their skills, or their neighbors, to produce everything from knitted socks to horseshoes.
Visit this weekend with local historical trades and craft people, as they share their skills and knowledge of these lost folk arts. Hand crafted items will be available for purchase.
*Ideal for Home Educators. $3 children/$5 adults. For more information go to Event Schedule or call (931) 232-6457.
