oboro health 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (4/15/13) – On Wednesday, May 1, Family Practice of Greenville, PSC, will become part of the Owensboro Health network of medical practices.

“We will continue to provide our patients with quality health care services,” said Marshall E. Prunty, MD, who founded the clinic 29 years ago. “Mitzi Gardner, our nurse practitioner, will continue to see patients as well, and the staff our patients have come to know over the years will still be here to serve them.”

The practice will adopt Owensboro Health MultiCare Greenville as its name. Services will include family medical care for children and adults, and on-site lab testing. Prunty will still see patients at Muhlenberg Community Hospital and at two area long-term care facilities: the Maple Manor and Belle Meade nursing homes.

“Joining Owensboro Health will allow me to focus my efforts exclusively on the care of my patients, while delegating the business portion of the practice to administrators who stay well-informed of many ever-changing health care regulations,” Prunty said.

“Dr. Prunty is a very talented physician and we are looking forward to having him as part of our team,” said Ed Heath, vice president of business development and community health for Owensboro Health. “We admire the confidence patients have placed in him and look forward to working with him to serve Muhlenberg County for many years to come.”
