Injury Accident on Ledbetter Bridge

 accident glass 300LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY (12/3/11) - On December 2,  the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department investigated a three-vehicle injury accident on US 60 at on the east side of the Ledbetter Bridge.  

Traffic was beginning to be stopped on the bridge for repairs when 27-year-old Mickey Ford of Calvert City failed to stop and struck a Ford F150 in the rear end.  This collision caused the Ford F-150, driven by 73-year-old Frederick Browing of Ledbetter, KY to strike the rear end of a 1990 Chevrolet pickup driven by 65-year-old Donald Thompson of Ledbetter, KY.  

Browning was transported from the scene via Livingston County EMS.  The other two involved parties were transported via private vehicle.  

Both lanes of the bridge were shut down for over an hour.  Bridge inspectors are currently inspecting the bridge for damage from the collision.
