Livingston Sheriff’s Dept. Investigates Theft and Collision

copper theft 300LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY (1/4/12) – On January 1, 2012, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Dept. began conducting an investigation into the theft of copper wire from Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel near Salem, KY.

During the investigation, Deputy Robert Johnson determined that the suspects had also taken approximately $2,000.00 of wire from an irrigation pivot near Salem, KY, belonging to Cook Farms. The suspects apparently had a collision in their vehicle and fled the scene prior to Deputy Johnson’s arrival at the scene.

The suspects, a father and son, are being sought by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department for questioning. The suspects are 48-year-old David Bauer and 33-year-old Joseph Bauer, both from the Salem, KY area.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of these subjects they are encouraged to contact the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department at (270) 928-2122.
