CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (1/9/12) – On Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, a New Concord resident was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Calloway County.
According to Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 officials, 18-year-old Hunter Arnold was operating a 2002 Ford pickup truck, traveling east on Irvin Cobb Road. As Arnold rounded a curve, his vehicle dropped off the right side of the road. Arnold attempted to right the vehicle, but overcorrected and crossed back over both lanes as the vehicle started to rotate and overturn. The vehicle exited the south side of the roadway and came to rest on the driver’s side, against a tree.
Arnold was treated at the scene by EMS, but was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. The investigation is being conducted by Trooper Russell Boyd who was assisted by the Calloway County Fire Rescue and Murray Calloway EMS.
