Kentucky State Fair Just Days Away

LEXINGTON, Ky. (8/13/13) – Hot dogs, funnel cakes and some of music's most talented artists. It's that time of year again. Time for the king of all fairs in the Commonwealth.

The 2013 Kentucky State Fair kicks off on Thursday, August 15 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. The fair, known for bringing big names from around the country to the Bluegrass, has a star-studded lineup that includes:

•Alan Jackson and Gary Allen, Thursday, August 15. Tickets range from $39 to $49.
•The Wanted and Carly Ray Jepsen, Friday, August 16. Tickets are $45.
•Toby Keith with special guest Kip Moore, Saturday, August 17. Tickets range from $45 to $56.
•The stars of A&E's Duck Dynasty, Sunday, August 25. Tickets range from $38 to $48.
•Jeff Dunham, Sunday, August 25. Tickets range from $40 to $48.

Tickets for the concerts can be purchased through Ticketmaster or can be charged by phone at 1-800-745-3000. General admission to the fair at the door will be $10 for adults, $6 for children 3 to 12, and $6 for senior citizens 55 and over. Infants 2 and under are admitted for free. General admission tickets can be bought in advance at participating Kroger's at a discounted price.

Other attractions will include horse shows, a BMX stunt show, amusement park rides, and much more. The fair will run through Sunday, August 25. For more information about the fair and a full list of the attractions, visit www.kystatefair.org.
