Who Says You Can’t Have Your Beer And Be Fit Too?

west sixth brewing 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (8/13/13)—It isn’t a surprise that people love beer. The only downfall is the amount of calories that each flavorful, ice-cold beer contains. What if there was a way that you could drink your beer and be fit too? In Lexington, West Sixth Brewing can help you make that happen.

West Sixth partnered with Broke Spoke Community Bike Shop to present West Sixth Pedals and Pints Club on Sundays at 1:30 p.m. Participants ride through Lexington on a bike and end back at West Sixth to enjoy an ice-cold beer after a little exercise. After participating in five rides, bikers are rewarded with a free shirt.

The West Sixth Running Club runs either a 3 mile or 1.5 mile course through downtown Lexington every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The start and finish line are at West Sixth Brewery so when you are finished you can congratulate yourself with one of West Sixth’s brews.

On Wednesday at West Sixth Brewery between 6-7 pm, a yoga class will be held for all levels! Afterwards stay for happy hour with other people in the community and enjoy a local brew. There is no charge, but bring your own mat.

For more information about the classes available at West Sixth Brewing or to get involved call (859) 951-6006.
