Apple Reveals iPhone 5S and 5C Today

apple phone1LEXINGTON, Ky. (9/10/13)—Apple is announcing the features of the next series of iPhone, the 5S and the 5C at 1 p.m. today. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, is scheduled to take the stage to reveal the iOS 7-release date, which is the iPad and iPhone’s new software update.

The iPhone 5S is going to be a lot like the 3GS and 4S versions of the phone but with some new tweaks, according to a news release. The biggest addition is the finger print sensor, which will allow only the user to be able to log into their phone, without having to use PIN or a password. The phone will look similar to the iPhone 5 but will reportedly come in champagne or gold. The new versions of the iPhones are set to go on sale on Friday, September 20, according to reports.

We won’t know all of the details until later this afternoon. Watch Cook’s announcement LIVE.
