Information Night for Specialized Programs in Public Schools Tonight

FAYETTE CO pub school 300LEXINGTON, Ky (9/23/13)—Tonight at Henry Clay High School information will be presented on the magnet and gifted and talented specialized programs available in the Fayette County Public Schools. From 6-8 p.m. there will be three breakout sessions to discuss the special programs.

According to the Fayette County Public Schools website, magnet schools include such options as Spanish immersion and individually prescribed education, while the district’s gifted and talented programs provide the highest level of service in creative and performing arts, math, science, general intellectual ability and specific academic aptitude. In addition, several schools in the area have specialized academic programs such as pre-engineering and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
