‘Carrie’ Remake to Hit Big Screens This Month

carrie 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (10/2/13)—Stephen King’s first published novel, Carrie, was made into a film in 1976. Now in 2013, Kimberly Pierce took on the challenge of directing the remake of the supernatural horror film. The remake of the first of King’s books to be adapted to film will be released to theaters on October 18.

A look into supernatural powers, high school cruelty and teenage angst, Carrie brings to the big screen one of the most memorable and horrific prom scenes in film history. This will be the third film adaptation of the movie and will star Chloë Grace Moretz as Carrie White, and Julianne Moore as Carrie’s mother, Margaret White.
