Brown's Bakery – This bakery, at 1226 Versailles Rd., specializes in cupcakes, individual desserts, cakes, as well as sculpted cakes. A family-owned and operated business, their cupcakes have gained national attention on the Food Network's Cupcake Wars, as well as TLC's Next Great Baker. Their cases are filled with a variety of specialty cupcakes daily, including Black Forest, Caramel Apple, Carrot Cake, and Bourbon Chocolate Pecan. The bakery will also sculpt different designed cakes for your next birthday party, anniversary or wedding. Caramanda's Bake Shop – This bakery has two locations in Lexington, 332 Southland Dr. and 3805 Dylan Pl., as well as a cupcake kiosk at the Fayette Mall. Caramanda's Bake Shop has specialty cupcake flavors every day, along with everyday favorites including Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Explosion, and Red Velvet. The bakery also bakes cookies, sculpts cakes for your next event, and now features Bruster's Real Ice Cream. Magee's Bakery – Magee's Bakery is located at 726 E. Main St. It's been family-owned and operated since 1956. The bakery not only provides a variety of cakes and cookies, but also serves breakfast and lunch. Their cake flavors include Chocolate Fudge, German Chocolate, and Carrot Cake. Spalding's Bakery – This bakery, located at 760 Winchester Rd., began selling specialty doughnuts in 1929 out of the original owner's home. Their doughnuts have been made by hand for over 75 years. Today, they sell doughnuts, along with apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, danishes, cupcakes and more.
