Happenings and Meetings - Week of December 1

happeningsandmeetings blueCHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (11/30/13) — The following meetings and happenings are scheduled for next week in Christian County.

• A meeting of the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission will be 5 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 in the Council Conference Room of the Municipal Building, 101 North Main Street, Hopkinsville, Ky.

• The 2013 Hopkinsville Christmas Parade will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. The parade route begins on Main Street from Glass Avenue, south to 16th Street. The grand marshal will be Carter Hendricks, president and CEO of the Christian County Chamber of Commerce.

• The Christmas at the Bend will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Jeffers Bend on Metcalf Lane. There will be children's holiday activities, crafts and refreshments. Cost is $5 per car or $10 per bus. For more information, call (270) 885-5600 or go to, www.jeffersbend.org.
