Local Students Selected as All-State Musicians for Feature Bands, Orchestras

kmea1 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (1/8/2014)— Superb high school musicians fill the ranks of the 2014 all-state bands and orchestras auditioned and selected by the Kentucky Music Educators Association. These talented students will rehearse with guest conductors and perform as featured ensembles during next month’s KMEA state conference in Louisville.

The All-State Symphony Orchestra and the All-State Commonwealth String Orchestra will perform at 1 p.m. Saturday Feb. 8 in Whitney Hall at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. The All-State Concert Band and the All-State Symphonic Band will follow at 3 p.m.
Congratulations to this year’s all-state musicians in Fayette County Public Schools.
