Two-Vehicle Accident Sends Two to Hospital

accident glass 300PADUCAH, KY (2/27/12) –On Feb. 25, at approximately 7:45 AM, 24-year-old Deanndria Moore of Paducah was traveling eastbound driving a 2002 Volvo. At the same time, 71-year-old Bobby Rhea of Salem, KY was also traveling eastbound driving a 1994 Jeep Cherokee.

Witnesses stated that Moore and Rhea were in the right-hand lane. For unknown reasons, Moore changed lanes quickly, then immediately came back to the right lane where she hit Rhea. While the collision was relatively minor, it caused both subjects to lose control of their vehicles. They both traveled across the median and both westbound lanes of I24. Moore stopped approximately 30-feet from the road. Rhea became airborne for a short time. While in the air, Rhea’s vehicle hit a tree causing it to overturn. Rhea’s vehicle came to rest on its’ side in the edge of the woods.

Both subjects were transported to Lourdes by Mercy Regional with multiple injuries.
