PADUCAH, KY (3/27/12) – At 8:15 AM on March 27, K-9 handlers from the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department, Paducah Police Department, Murray Police Department and Kentucky State Police along with McCracken County School Resource Officers conducted a drug sweep of the parking lot at Lone Oak High School.
In addition to the parking lot, a limited sweep was conducted inside the building. The dogs gave a positive response to the odor of illegal drugs on two vehicles in the parking lot. A search of the vehicles revealed small amounts of marijuana in both vehicles along with a partially full bottle of Vodka.
Deputy David Knight charged/cited a female juvenile with Possession of less than 8 oz. of Marijuana and Possession of Alcohol by a Minor.
A male juvenile was charged/cited with Possession of less than 8 oz. of Marijuana. Both students were released to their parents.
Violations of the student code of conduct will be addressed on an individual basis by the school.
