McCracken County Jail Inmate Escapes

INMATE ESCAPE MurrellPADUCAH, KY (4/17/12) – Kentucky State Police and local law enforcement are currently investigating the escape of an inmate of the McCracken County Jail.

William C. Murrell was last seen at approximately 2:20 PM on Tuesday at his work detail in the area of North 13th and H.C. Mathis Drive in Paducah. Murrell is believed to have left the area on foot.

Murrell’s green jail jumpsuit was located a short distance from the work detail, therefore a current clothing description is unknown. William C. Murrell is a 20-year-old African American male. He weighs approximately 152 pounds and stands approximately 5’10” tall.

Murrell was incarcerated for theft and drug charges. The Kentucky State Police and the Paducah Police Department are currently searching the area of H.C. Mathis Drive and North 13th Street.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of William Murrell is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police, Post 1 at 270-856-3721.
