WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (5/22/13) - The following is your weekly update of law enforcement activity in and around the Webster County area.
Providence Police Chief Brent McDowell reported the following activities and arrests:
Wed., May 15
• Gadeda Pease, 34 of Providence, was served a Criminal Summons for Theft by Deception- Cold Checks.
Sun., May 19
•Adam Hara, 37 of Providence, was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs/Etc .08, 2 counts of 2nd Degree Wanton Endangerment, Reckless Driving, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, No/Expired Registration Plates and Licensed to be in Possession.
•Nu Sar Be, 30 of Sebree, was cited to court for speeding.
•Charles A. Woodward, 31 of Providence, was arrested for 1st Degree Burglary.

Webster County Sheriff Frankie Springfield also reported the following accidents:
Tues., May 7, 2:16 p.m.
Deputy Donald Jones responded to an accident on the Pennyrile Parkway three miles south of Sebree. According to the report Leanne Glossenger, 20 of Clayton, IN was northbound when she looked down at her cell phone and dropped off the edge of the road. Glossenger then overcorrected, passed through a guardrail and went off a steep embankment. Glossenger was transported to Baptist Hospital by Webster County EMS. Her 2005 Toyota Camry was towed from the scene.
Fri., May 10, 7:00 a.m.
Deputy Donald Jones responded to an accident on KY 56, three miles outside of Poole. According to the report Julie Everidge, 23 of Morganfield, KY, was eastound on KY 56 when her 2005 GMC Envoy went into a skid. The vehicle spun 180 degrees and went off the road, striking a fence and an embankment. There were no injuries reported but the vehicle had to be towed.
Fri., May 10, 2:00 p.m.
Deputy Jay Workins responded to an accident on US 41A, six miles north of Dixon. According to the report, Steven Vance, 47 of Sebree, was traveling south on US 41A when his vehicle hydroplaned. He lost control of his 1997 Dodge Ram and went into oncoming traffic, colliding with the 2004 Ford F-150 driven by Mary Blanchard, 60 of Dixon. There were no injuries reported. Blanchard’s vehicle was towed.
Sat., May 11, 6:34 a.m.
Deputy Donald Jones responded to an accident on US 41-A, four miles north of Dixon.
According to the report, James Shelton, 27 of Nebo, KY, was southbound on US 41-A when he fell asleep at the wheel of his 2011 Chevy Equinox. He exited the road, struck an embankment and then went airborne. He then struck a second embankment and came to rest in a ditch,
Shelton refused medical assistance. His vehicle was severely damaged and had to be towed.
Mon., May 13, 3:00 p.m.
Deputy Donald Jones responded to an accident on KY 270, three miles north of Wheatcroft. According to the report, Hannah Sargant, 17 of Bowling Green, was attempting to turn her 2001 Ford Taurus onto KY 2837. She was approaching the intersection to fast. When she attempted to slow her vehicle she went into a skid and struck a utility pole.
No injuries were reported, but her vehicle was severely damaged and had to be towed.
Thu., May 16, 6:05 a.m.
Sheriff Frankie Springfield responded to an accident on US 41A, two miles outside of Dixon. According to the report, Tamar Adams, 40 of Dixon, was traveling northbound in a 2005 Nissan Altima when a deer entered the road. There were no injuries reported, but there were severe damages to the vehicle and it had to be towed.
Webster County - Grand Jury
Webster County Grand Jury was in session on Tuesday May 14, 2013 and passed down the following indictments:
•William Clark, 20 of Grayson, KY was indicted on a charge of being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, a class C felony.
•Roger W. Jones Jr., 31 of Dixon, was indicted on charges of 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (>or= 10 DU, Opiates) a class C felony, 2nd Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (>or= 20 DU, Drug Uspecified), a class D felony and 3rd Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Subtance (>or=20 DU), a class A misdemeanor.
•David A. Long, 35 of Clay, was indicted on a charge of Flagrant Non Support, a class D felony.
•Kevin E. Wallace, 22 of Sebree, was indicted on two charges of Second Degree Rape, a class C felony. Webster County
• Judge Rene Williams issued an order revoking probation and for the re-sentencing of Christopher Adam Sheridan due to a new misdemeanor out of state arrest.
He is resentenced to serve five years in the state penitentiary.
•Kayla Brook Smith, 21 of Providence, to Allen Michael Woodring, 21 of Providence.
•Carlene Dale, 46 of Sebree, to Roger Ray Pryor, 50 of Sebree.
•Johana Valentin Luna, 21 of Sebree to Irvin Joaquin Munoz, 18 of Sebree.
•Kenneth Cosby and Linda Cosby to Kelly Cosby and Cherish Cosby, property in Webster County.
•David Miller to David Johnson and Lisa Johnson, property in Webster County.
•Gwennette Fraizer and Douglas Fraizer to Michael L. Davis, property in Webster County.
•Ronnie Roland and Jane S. Roland to Ronnie Roland, Jane S. Roland, David McKinley and Ronna McKinley.
