traffic accident 300PADUCAH, Ky. (4/10/13) – On April 9, at approximately 11:50 PM, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Old US 45 and US 45 just south of Lone Oak.

Upon arrival, deputies found that Milton D. Kindle, 34-years-old, from Mayfield, was operating a Blue 2003 Ford Expedition northbound on Old US 45 approaching US 45. Further investigation showed that Kindle was operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed while approaching the curve just before the intersection. As Kindle entered the curve he left the roadway on the north side and continued off of the roadway until the vehicle began to overturn multiple times. The vehicle came to rest on the north side of the intersection and Mr. Kindle was ejected from the vehicle and landed in the median on US 45.

Mr. Kindle was found to be driving on a suspended license and was under the influence of alcohol during the collision. Kindle was cited to court and left in the hospital’s care due to injuries sustained in the collision.

Ms. Kindle, a passenger in the vehicle, was treated on scene for incapacitating injuries and transported to Lourdes hospital by Mercy Regional EMS.

US 45 was restricted to one lane for approximately one and a half hours for the investigation and clean-up of the roadway.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS and the Lone Oak Fire Department.
