Accident with Injuries on Woodville Road

Accident Injury 01 red 300PADUCAH, Ky. (4/12/13) – At approximately 8:24 AM on April 12, 2013, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department investigated an accident on Woodville Road.

The investigation showed that Melissa M. Bearden, 25 years of age, of Kevil, Ky. was traveling north on KY 725/Woodville Road. Miss Bearden pulled out and was attempting to pass two vehicles traveling at a slow rate of speed when the back vehicle started to pull out and pass the slow moving truck. When the vehicle realized Miss Bearden was overtaking her, she pulled back into her lane, but not before Miss Bearden had exited the roadway losing control of her vehicle. Miss Bearden’s vehicle crossed Bradford Road and went down into a ditch causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof.

Miss Bearden was able to free herself and her nephew, Christopher A. Bearden, 4 years of age, of Kevil, and exit the vehicle. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the West McCracken Fire Department and Mercy Regional.
