Two Injured at Intersection of Maxon Road and US 60 East

traf accident 300PADUCAH, Ky. (4/15/13) – On Sunday April 14, at 4:00 PM, Deputies were dispatched to an injury accident at the intersection of Maxon Road and US 60 East.
 
Upon arrival, investigation showed that Zachary Inman, 19, of Kevil, KY, was eastbound on US 60 operating a 1992 Lexus coupe. Harriet Byers, 57, of Kevil, KY, was southbound on Maxon Road just before the collision. Mrs. Byers was operating a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. Mrs. Byers was crossing US 60 East southbound on Maxon when she failed to yield the right of way of Inman. Mrs. Byers struck Mr. Inman in the eastbound lanes of US 60 East.
 
Passengers in the Chevrolet Tahoe was a 16-year-old male from Kevil, KY, seated in the passenger seat. A female teen, 16-years-old from Paducah, KY was seated in the rear driver side seat. Another 16-year-old male from West Paducah, KY was seated in the rear passenger seat. None of the juveniles were injured
 
Both drivers were taken to area hospitals by Mercy EMS and by private vehicle. BA’s Towing, Concord Fire Dept. assisted at the scene. Traffic was slowed to one lane for a little over an hour for cleanup of the scene.
