Paducah Woman Arrested Third Time for Trafficking Drugs

arrest dukesPADUCAH, Ky. (4/16/13) – On April 15, 2013 at approximately 9:00 PM, 46-year-old Beverly Dukes was arrested by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Drug Division.
 
Detectives received information that Dukes had traveled to another county to purchase crack cocaine. Detectives were able to verify the information and locate Dukes.
 
At approximately 9:oo PM, Deputy Latta attempted to stop Duke’s vehicle and observed Dukes throw out items from her window. The items were located and found to be plastic baggies containing crack cocaine.
 
As the investigation continued, detectives learned that Dukes had purchased the cocaine with the intent to sell to other individuals. A quick look at the criminal history of Dukes showed that among her multiple criminal convictions, she had been charged and convicted of three prior drug trafficking charges.
 
Dukes was charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd or Subsequent Offense and Tampering With Physical Evidence. She was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
