rollover accident redblue 300PADUCAH, Ky. (4/19/13) – At just before 9:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, McCracken County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched along with Concord Fire Dept. and Mercy Regional Ambulance for a single vehicle that had overturned on US62/Blandville Road near Fisher Road in McCracken County.

The collision investigation concluded that 33 year old Ricky Tharp of LaCenter, KY, was operating a White 2006 Chevrolet Crew Cab Pickup westbound on US62 when he lost control of the vehicle during heavy rain and water pooling on the roadway. Mr. Tharp’s truck ran off the shoulder and overturned in the ditch. Mr. Tharp was able crawl from his vehicle and was not injured.

The roadway was blocked and traffic diverted for approximately one hour to facilitate cleanup due to a large number of tools and supplies that had been scattered on and along the roadway.
