Owensboro Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop

arrest aleagaOWENSBORO (4/29/13) – An Owensboro man was arrested following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Hall Street Saturday afternoon. According to Owensboro Police, Marcus Aleaga, 32, was stopped at approximately 1:55 p.m.

Authorities alleged they found “items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, including a small tank containing anhydrous ammonia.” The discovery led authorities to close Hall Street for approximately 90 minutes as detectives worked to safely remove the items from the scene.

Aleaga was lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center on charges of failure to signal, knowingly possessing anhydrous ammonia without an approved container with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance.
