PADUCAH, Ky. (5/6/13) – On Friday, May 3, 2013, at approximately 2:32 PM, McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an injury accident in the 10655 block of Blandville Road.
On arrival, deputies observed two vehicles blocking the roadway just east of HWY 286 on Blandville Road. Concord Fire Dept. was already on scene.
Investigation showed that a 17-year-old female of Arlington, KY was driving westbound on US62/Blandville in a 2001 Hyundai 4 door. The teen was attempting to make a left turn onto the parking lot of Mylan Station when she collided with another vehicle traveling east bound. Kalia Bruer, 26, of Fancy Farm was operating a 2006 Nissan Maxima traveling east bound when the teen failed to yield the right of way of Mrs. Bruer, causing a head-on collision.
Both vehicles received severe front end damage from the collision and the roadway was blocked for just over an hour for investigation and cleanup.
M&S Towing of Clinton, KY and Speedy’s Towing both assisted in clean up and towing the vehicles. Concord Fire Department and Mercy EMS both assisted at the scene.
Both occupants were transported to local hospitals for minor injuries.
