HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (5/21/13) – Hopkins County Schools and Hopkins County Family YMCA are again sponsoring the Summer Feeding Program, which will offer meals starting Wednesday, May 22.
The federal program offers free meals for children when school is not in session. Anyone 18 and younger may eat at any of the sites.
Hopkins County Schools and the YMCA partner with community leaders, churches and schools to provide meals to children who may be participating in summer camps, playing at city parks or living near one of the many feeding sites.
The Summer Feeding Program provided more than 25,000 meals last year in Hopkins County.
