accident w injuries redMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (5/22/13) – On Tuesday, May 21, at approximately 9:00 PM, first responders were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident on 431 South near Dunmor in Muhlenberg County.
 
Once on the scene, officials found that Rachel L. Pentecost, 19, of 200 Williams Drive in Greenville, apparently lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle left the road, slid down an embankment, and struck a tree. Sheriff’s Department officials have stated that road conditions were most likely a contributing factor to the accident.
 
Pentecost was trapped inside of the vehicle for more than three hours while first responders attempted extrication.
 
Pentecost was transported to Owensboro Health Hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Muhlenberg County Sheriff Deputy Terry Vick is investigating the accident.
 
First responders at the scene included, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, Muhlenberg County Ambulance Service, Kentucky State Police, Dunmor, Beechmont, Central City and Graham Fire Departments, Constable Denny Blythe, PHI Flight Crew and rescue workers from Logan County.
