Paducah Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

motorcycle acc blue2 300McCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (5/28/13) – On Monday morning, May 28, 2013, at approximately 6:13 AM, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
 
Once on the scene, Deputies found that Wesley J. Mariner, 28, of Paducah was operating a 1994 BMW motorcycle northbound on North Friendship Road. As the motorcycle made the left hand curve the left side saddle bag made contact with the roadway causing Mariner to lose control of his motorcycle. The motorcycle left the right side of the roadway and overturned.
 
Mariner was wearing protective equipment and was complaining of back pain.
 
Mariner was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries by Mercy Regional Ambulance.
 
Assisting on scene was Lone Oak Fire Dept. and Speedy’s Towing.
