Resignation of Main Street Department Executive Director

city paducah 300PADUCAH, Ky. (5/29/13) – City Manager Jeff Pederson accepted the verbal resignation of Main Street Department (Paducah Renaissance Alliance) Executive Director Lisa Thompson on Tuesday, May 28. The resignation is effective immediately. Thompson has been employed with the City of Paducah since December 1, 2011.

Pederson says, “I applaud Thompson’s efforts into making historic preservation a priority in the Renaissance District. She truly understands the importance of preserving and revitalizing historic structures.”

The community events and projects associated with the Main Street Department including Live on Broadway, the Farmers’ Market, and the new concert series scheduled for one Thursday each month this summer will continue as scheduled with the assistance of other City departments.

Pederson adds, “Over the next few weeks, the structure of the Main Street Department will be reviewed to determine the appropriate model to bring success to the Main Street mission.”
