Injury Accident Sends One to Hospital

Accident Injury 01 blue 300PADUCAH, Ky. (5/30/13) – On May 29, 2013, at approximately 7:20 PM, Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 400 block of Clarkline Road for a single vehicle injury accident.

Upon arrival, it was determined that Michael E. Dunn, 46, of Paducah was operating his 1994 Jeep Wrangler West bound on Clarkline Road. For unknown reasons Dunn’s front tire dropped off the roadway. Dunn then overcorrected causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn onto its side. Dunn was then ejected from the vehicle. Dunn suffered several external and internal injuries due to being ejected.

Dunn was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries and was later flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville Tennessee.

At this time Dunn is listed in “stable but serious condition.”

The Lone Oak Hendron Fire Department and the Mercy Regional Medical Ambulance Services both assisted at the scene.
