LEXINGTON, Ky. (6/20/13) – One Wednesday, June 19, the McCracken County Sheriff’s department was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on US 68 and the east bound on ramp of I-24.
Once on the scene, Deputies found that Mary F. Mercer, 58 of Paducah, was crossing US 68 from the eastbound off-ramp to the eastbound on-ramp. Mercer was operating a 1996 Nissan Altima and struck a 2004 Chrysler 300M operated by Sherry Willoughby, 57, also of Paducah. Willoughby was westbound on US 68 when she was struck on the driver’s side.
Willoughby was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries by Mercy Regional Ambulance service.
Mercer was treated on scene by medics from Mercy Regional Ambulance.
Assisting on scene was Reidland-Farley Fire Department, Jason’s Towing and Randy’s Towing.
