poolPADUCAH, Ky. (7/13/13) – Paducah has had some comfortable temperatures this June and July, but it is still summer, and cool breaks from the heat and humidity are recommended. The Paducah Parks Services Department has several ways to stay cool while enjoying the outdoors.

The Robert Coleman Park Spraypark, located at Husbands Street and Walter Jetton Boulevard, is open daily 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. There is no charge to enjoy all the fun water features.

The newly refurbished Noble Park Pool is open through August 11. The pool is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. The pool is closed on Mondays. Admission is $5. Children four years old and younger and seniors can enjoy the pool for $3. Earlier this year the pool’s amenities, concession area, and components such as the pool liner and filtration, piping, and disinfection systems were reconstructed. A spraypad to replace the former baby pool remains under construction. Delays in equipment deliveries have slowed the construction process on the spraypad. Paducah Parks Services hopes to open the spraypad in less than two weeks.

For more information, call Paducah Parks Services at 444-8508 or visit www.paducahky.gov. A quick link to the Noble Park Pool information including swimming lessons and special events is located on the left side of the website’s homepage.
