Song Featured in WKU Graduate’s TV Show Nominated for Emmy

kirk butler 300BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (7/22/13) - Congratulations to Kirker Butler, a 1993 WKU Theatre & Dancegraduate from Hartford.

Butler is co-executive producer and writer of The Neighbors, a sitcom that airs on Wednesday nights on the ABC Network.

The Neighbors was nominated Thursday for a 2013 Primetime Emmy Award for Original Music and Lyrics for the song More or Less the Kind of Thing You May or May Not Possibly See on Broadway, written by Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken. The Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Sept. 22.

Butler’s TV credits also include Family Guy and The Cleveland Show.
