Single Vehicle Accident on Clark Line Road

Accident Injuries 01 300PADUCAH, Ky. (8/21/13) – On August 20th, 2013 at approximately 9:53 p.m., the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a single-vehicle accident in the 2200 block of Clark Line Rd.

Investigation revealed that Ryan Driskill, 19, of Paducah, was operating a 1998 Honda Accord eastbound on Clark Line Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch, causing the vehicle to flip twice before coming to rest in the driveway of 2220 Clark Line Rd.

Driskill was transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Further investigation revealed that Driskill was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Due to his injuries, Driskill was cited to court and released for medical treatment.

Driskill was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st offense, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree and Communication Device Violation 1st offense.

The criminal mischief charge resulted from damages that the vehicle caused to the landscaping at 2200 and 2220 Clark Line Rd. The communication device violation was a result of Driskill texting while he was driving.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by The Reidland Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS, and Randy’s Wrecker Service.
