PADUCAH, Ky. (8/30/13) – On the morning of August 28, 2013, Jessica Roberson, who resides on Benton Road in Reidland, reported a theft from her vehicle.  Roberson stated sometime between 5:00 p.m. on August 27th and 7:00 a.m. on August 28th, someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a credit card from her purse.  After discovering the theft, Roberson contacted the credit card company and discovered someone had already used the credit card at the Southside Wal-Mart in Paducah.

After obtaining video surveillance from Wal-Mart, deputies discovered the suspect purchased several items shortly after 1:30 a.m. that morning.  The suspect was observed leaving Wal-Mart in a cab, which was later determined to have taken him to the area of James Marine on Clarks River Road.  It is believed that the suspect got on a tow boat that morning.  The suspect appeared to be a white male with a beard, wearing camouflage shorts, a camouflage short sleeve shirt, a camouflage baseball type cap and Crocs type sandals.  The suspect appeared to be carrying a dark colored backpack.

Photos of the suspect are attached to this press release.  The quality of the photos is not very good, but if someone knows the individual, they may be able to identify him from the clothing.

If anyone has information regarding this crime, please contact the McCracken County Sheriff's Department at 444-4719, or contact Crimestoppers at 443-TELL. Anyone with information leading to the arrest and/or conviction may be eligible for a reward up to $1000.
