OPD: Shooting Suspect Yet to be Questioned

shooting investigation update 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (8/30/13) – Owensboro Police Department Information Officer Michael Hathaway told SurfKY News today that Wednesday's shooting investigation involving two men in the 2400 block of Hillbrooke Parkway is continuing, though no charges have been filed at this time. Hathaway said suspected shooter, Austin Elder, 23, of Owensboro, hasn't yet been questioned by law enforcement due to the fact he requested a lawyer.

The victim, Justin Kyle, 30, Owensboro, was transported from the scene to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
