Box Truck Peeled Open by Railroad Overpass

traffic accident 300PADUCAH, Ky. (10/2/13) – At approximately 12:25 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Deputies were dispatched to the railroad overpass on Woodville Road near Vance Lane for a box truck that struck the bridge.
 
Investigation determined 41 Year old Greg Summerour of Hamilton, Ohio was operating a white 2012 International box truck westbound on Woodville Road. The top several inches of the trucks cargo box was torn away by the 11’11” bridge. There were no injuries, none of the non-hazardous cargo was lost, and the bridge was not seriously damaged.
 
Woodville Road was partially blocked for approx. 30 minutes while debris from the truck was removed from the roadway.
