Steakhouse Owners Find Their Niche

9 500

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/19/13) — Madisonville's #9 Steakhouse is premier restaurant that serves both lunch and dinner as is known for its great service and food at a quality price.

“When we took over ownership this year, we tried out a lot of different things to get an idea of what the community would like,” said Chef Eric Madison, owner. “I feel like we have figured out our market and streamlined our menu where we focus on what works and what doesn’t. I think we have a pretty strong menu for our community.”

Located on 1002 N. Main St., #9 Steakhouse owners pride themselves not only with quality service and food but also with consistency.

“We preach to our staff every day how important consistency is,” said Eric. “We switched over to Hampton Meats out of Hopkinsville, Ky. We have a very good relationship with them, we spend a lot on beef a year and they take care of us. And, their quality of meat is great.”

Recently #9 has opened its doors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays, where they are offering both lunch and dinner menus. Eric and Kelly wanted more of a brunch style, so after the first of the year a omelet station will be available a la carte style by the bar area.

“Guests will still be able to order sides off the main menu,” said Eric. “They will also be able to pick their options like, lobster, shrimp, scallops for a more upper scale choice, and, of course, the basics like cheese and spinach.”

The steakhouse also offers a banquet room and catering services.

“We do a lot of banquets and caterings,” said owner Kelly Madison. “Everytime we do a catering, we get at least four or five more people calling because they were so blown away with the food and service.”

With almost a year under their belt, new owners Eric and Kelly have created an enjoyable and homey environment that keeps their guests coming back for more.

“We are just trying to create a place for anyone and everyone to come,” said Kelly. “We want our customers to feel comfortable. Like our home is their home.”
