PADUCAH,Ky. (2/10/14) — A Paducah man was injured in a traffic accident on slick roads at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10.
According to a McCracken County Sheriff's report, deputies responded to an injury accident on Blandville road near the McKendree Church Road intersection and discovered that Joshua Gerwitz, 21, of Paducah, was traveling southbound on Blandville with his brother, Zachary Gerwitz, 22, of Calvert City.
Due to the inclement weather and a slick roadway, Gerwitz lost control of his vehicle, a 2008 Pontiac G6, after coming around a curve.
Gerwitz was unable to regain control and his vehicle and dropped off the right shoulder, overturned and struck a tree.
Joshua Gerwitz was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.Deputies were assisted on scene by Mercy EMS and Concord Fire Department.
