PADUCAH, Ky. (2/12/14) — Two people received minor injuries as a result of a two-car accident at the intersection of Kentucky 1241/ Old U.S. 45 and Krebs Station Road/ Kentucky 999 at approximately 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff's department, an investigation revealed that a 2009 Toyota Prius operated by Marsha Bloodworth, 54, of Paducah, was traveling northbound on Kentucky 1241, when a Lexus RX 300 driven by Iris Kelly, 61, of Paducah, that was traveling on Krebs Station Road pulled out in front of her.
At this particular intersection, Kentucky 1241 has the right of way and motorists traveling on Krebs Station Road are required to stop at a stop sign.According to the parties involved and a witness, Kelly was traveling west on Krebs Station and had stopped at the intersection before pulling into the path of Bloodworth's car.
