Accident Injuries 01 300PADUCAH, Ky. (3/4/14) — Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department responded to the I-24 bridge for a report of a three vehicle collision with possible injuries 2:06 p.m. Feb. 28.

Upon arrival, a silver 2006 Volkswagen registered to Stephen Pyle of Carbondale, Ill., a blue 2009 Toyota registered to Shirley Rick of Benton, Ky., and a green 1996 Isuzu Trooper registered to Nettie Brown of Tchula, Miss. were sitting on the east bound shoulder of I-24. Pyle and Rich were stopped due to the traffic congestion in the work zone on the bridge. Brown failed to stop in time and struck the rear of Rich’s car pushing her into the rear of Pyle’s car. Rich was accompanied by her grandson David Drake of Benton.

Drake was transported to Baptist Hospital by Mercy ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.

Mr. Brown was cited for failure to maintain insurance and his vehicle was towed.
