Paducah Man Charged with DUI after HWY 60 Accident

accident w injuries redPADUCAH, Ky. (3/24/14) — The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a two vehicle accident with injuries at approximately 10:09 p.m. March 21 on HWY 60 and the Tennessee River Bridge.

Investigation revealed that George M Ryan, 64, of New Johnsonville, Tenn., was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of the bridge when he was involved in a head-on collision with a 2004 Ford, driven by Jackee Duncan, 28, of Ledbetter, Ky.

A passenger in Ryan's vehicle, Kyla Parks, 56, of New Johnsonville, Tenn., was transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Baptist Health of Paducah for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Duncan was transported by private vehicle to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Further investigation revealed that Ryan was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Ryan was taken to Baptist Health of Paducah for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Once medically cleared, Ryan was charged with driving under the influence first offense (aggravated circumstances), assault second degree, wanton endangerment first degree, criminal mischief first degree, and failure of owner to maintain insurance.

He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
