Muhlen Alliance ProgressPOWDERLY, Ky. (4/9/14) — U.S. Senator Rand Paul R-Bowling Green, will meet with local business leaders and the public Tuesday, April 15 at the Senior Citizens Center in Powderly.

Gary Jones, director of Business Development for the Muhlenberg Alliance for Progress, told SurfKY News Paul is continuing his efforts to stay in touch with the business community in the county.

"Sen. Paul will be in the Madisonville area earlier in the day." Jones said. "He will then come to Powderly's Senior Citizens Center. The senator has told us he wants to get feedback and opinions from Muhlenberg County business leaders, as far as what Congress can do to create a more positive business environment. His office requested that we put together a business round table discussion with executives and owners of various businesses."

With any time remaining, the general public will also have a chance to discuss issues with Paul.

"Although we will spend much of the time allowed with the business leaders' questions, the public will also be able to bring their questions and concerns for this meeting." Jones said. "This will be the senator's fourth visit to Muhlenberg County, and we always appreciate being able to give members of both parties of congress an opportunity to hear what our business leaders and citizens in the county are concerned about. To have political leaders actually come to the county and hear from people one on one is always more powerful."

To find out more details about the business round table call the Muhlenberg Alliance for Progress at (270) 338-4102.
