Sheriff's Deputies Nab Central City Burglar

Burglary Blue 300CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (4/16/14) ― A Central City home was broken into by a burglar that kicked the door in to gain entry.

According to a Muhlenberg County Sheriff's report, deputies responded to a burglary Tuesday, April 15 at 2496 Ridge Road, Central City. While at the residence, officers received another complaint of a person entering a home uninvited at 2612 Ridge Road.

After arriving at the second address, officers discovered Skylar Shanks of Bremen hiding in a closet. He also admitted to taking a television from 2612 Ridge Road.

Shanks was taken into custody and charged with two counts of second-degree burglary.

Deputy Derrick Moore was the arresting officer. Deputies Brock Mefford and Lt. Bob Jenkins and Kentucky State Police Troopers Jerrod Hearld and Craig Engler assisted.
