Two Vehicle Accident Sends Local Man to Hospital

traf accident 300PADUCAH, Ky, (6/6/14) — The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was notified of an accident with injuries at 12825 Blandville Road, June 5, 2014 at approximately 10:36 p.m.

An investigation showed that a Shooter Green, 23, had parked a 1992 White Ford Trash Truck in the opposite lane while trying to collect trash. David Michael Patrick was in the passenger side of the vehicle when the collision occurred. While stopped Billy Walker Davis, 85, was traveling west bound on Blandville Road. According to Davis the lights of the trash truck caused him to miss judge the trash truck’s location. Davis tried to avoid the truck, but struck the right front section of the trash truck, with his right front section causing Davis continued to travel spinning and coming to final rest in an open field.

Davis was taken to Baptist Health for non-life threatening injuries. Neither Green nor Patrick had any injuries due to the collision. Deputies were assisted by Concord Fire Department and Mercy EMS.

Blandville Road was shut down for approximately an hour an ten minutes.
