Bike Night Back With a Bang

Friday Bike Nt 6 21 13 001GREENVILLE, Ky. (7/4/14) The Greenville Volunteer Fire Department's Friday Bike Night is taking the holiday weekend off. But it will be back next Friday, July 18 with free music from the Mason Dixon Band and awesome bikes from all over the region.

Last summer's weekly event raised thousands of dollars for new equipment for the department. The need for replacements of hose, protective gear and other ongoing needs is always great.

Each week, the fun begins at 6 p.m. There are weekly plaques awarded for top honors including the best looking bike, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. There's always plenty of great food items to enjoy with vendors around the square area.

The event runs through Aug. 22 weather permitting. Still to come this year, are biker games on July 18 with music from the No Surrender Band; on July 25, a special DJ providing the music; on Aug. 1, Mason Dixon is back; on Aug. 8, biker games; on Aug. 15; and, the final Bike Night event on Aug. 22 with awards and music from No Surrender.
