The investigation shows that 21 year old Christopher Ringstaff was traveling south bound on Cold Springs road in a 2000 KIA. Ringstaff states that he was trying to light a cigarette when his car drifted over the centerline.
When his car crossed the centerline he struck the north bound vehicle head on. The north bound vehicle was operated by 58 year old Dorothy Sowders of West Paducah. Sowders pulled as far right as she could attempting to avoid the collision.
Ringstaff was transported to Baptist Health by Mercy Regional ambulance for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.Also on scene was the Concord Fire Department.
