PADUCAH, Ky. (8/13/14) — On Aug. 12, 2014, at approximately 10:30 a.m., detectives and deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 207 Herman in Paducah, Ky.
The warrant was part of an investigation by the Sheriff’s Department Drug Division.
Two individuals, both of Paducah, Ky., were located inside the residence. Fifty-three year old Loyd Goins was taken into custody outside his residence. As detectives entered the apartment, Bradley Riley, 37 years old, was observed running into a bedroom. He was detained immediately following his short flight.
During a search of the residence detectives located methamphetamine, marijuana, scales used to weigh methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia. Evidence of illegal drug trafficking was also located.
Both Goins and Riley were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. They were both charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine Over 2 Grams, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. More charges are possible.
Both Goins and Riley are currently on felony parole. Goins has four prior convictions for trafficking illegal drugs.Individuals with information pertaining to illegal drug crimes can contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Drug Division directly at (270) 448-1516 or (270) 444-5157.
